I am maintaining this Web site with its several pages purely as a personal hobby. I was prodded to do this by my son, Andrew, whose company, Aruba Consulting, Inc. acts as server-host for me.
In 1997 when I started, I wrote out a curriculum vitae and began listing sites I enjoy visiting and others I find especially useful to me. Some visitors have written that they value many of my selections, bookmark my lists, and in turn have sent me recommendations. In those cases where I, too, enjoy those sites cited, I include them when I issue an updated edition or an addendum (I do this from time to time).
I only collect the domain name (but not the e-mail address) of visitors to my web site, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with me via e-mail, statistical information on what pages or links visitors access or visit, and any information volunteered by the visitor, such as recommended URLs and suggestions for improvements.
This information that is collected is solely used to improve the content of the Web site and its contents.
